House Rules & Terms – Irie Dreads

We value clarity, good vibes, and respect for each other's time and energy. That's why we have a few simple rules:


Be on time. Time is money. Are you late or don't show up? We'll charge a fee. Simple.

Fresh by appointment. Make sure your hair and scalp are clean, washed, and dry. A refreshing shower and a little deodorant are also appreciated.

No pets. As sweet as they are, pets are welcome. Sorry, not sorry.

ME-time, no meetings. Our salon is a place of peace and tranquility. So come alone, or with just one person if absolutely necessary. Let your friends, neighbors, and family relax at home.

Snack smart. A cookie or a glass of wine with your tea is fine. But leave that fragrant Tupperware lunch in your bag or at home.

Payment upon booking: You pay for your treatment online, through our website and booking system. There are no other options, not even credit or cash at the salon. Just like you don't wait three days to pay at the Levi's store.

Wi-Fi & Vibes We have free Wi-Fi, but we also love a good chat. Feel free to choose.

Know what you want. Think carefully about what you want and whether it suits your hair. We're good, really—but we're not magicians. Long black locs on thin blonde hair? That's where the word "almost" comes into play.

Yes, it can be sensitive. Loc touch-ups can feel tight. We work as gently as possible. Need a break? It's fine. But not every 5 minutes. A treatment takes a maximum of 1.5 hours. Brace yourself, sit still, and enjoy the ride.

Hands off, crochet hook in the air. It's great that you want to help, but try to sit still during the session and leave your locs alone. Let us do the work – with sharp crochet hooks above your head, focus is key.

No price negotiations. Our price list is clear and fixed. No room for haggling.

You book = your responsibility. If you accidentally book the wrong treatment or don't have enough time, we'll help you within the booked time and be happy to reschedule the remaining work. If there's extra time available, we'll help you, and you can pay the difference by card in the salon. We schedule a fixed time for each client. If your treatment takes longer due to, for example, excessively loose hair or neglected locs, we may need to schedule a follow-up appointment. Additional costs may apply. Please be aware of this.

Cancellations or changes? You can easily do so up to 48 hours in advance using the link in your confirmation email.

No show = no refund. No show means no refund. That chair was there for you; we weren't there for the fun.

Sick or need to cancel last-minute (under 24 hours)? It happens. Please let us know. Call, text, or email us. We'll reschedule your appointment. We do charge a small fee of €25 via Tikkie.

Changed your Loctician? You booked your favorite Loctician, but someone else is available? It happens! Your appointment will still go ahead, and you'll be well taken care of by a colleague. We always try to accommodate each other's customers in emergencies! As long as your appointment can go ahead, right? And your money back? No, unfortunately not.

Only through the booking system. Appointments and payments outside the booking system (via WhatsApp, DM, or other channels) are not possible. Only bookings made through our website are valid.

Too late?

If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may be canceled or shortened. This depends on the schedule for the day.

Taking children to the salon

To maintain a peaceful atmosphere for all clients, we ask that you come alone. In extreme cases, you can bring one child, but please let us know in advance and bring something for them to entertain themselves with. We don't want children running around the salon while we're holding a sharp crochet hook.

Photo material/social media

We'll take photos or videos of your hair being worked on for our social media channels. If you'd prefer not to be filmed or photographed, please let us know in advance. We respect your privacy, of course. We always ask whether you'd like to be visible or not.

Care between appointments

You are responsible for maintaining your locomotives between appointments. Incorrect maintenance can lead to damage or additional work, which we must include in the time and cost calculations at the appointment.
